how can you measure the rate of breakdown of glucose?

Lactose was broken down by lactase to glucose and galactose. using glucose strips to test the presence of glucose will give me a qualitative data, but what i want to know is the quantitative. so my question is how can i measure the rate of breakdown of glucose.
