If not, I need to find a way to measure the amount of sugar in juices for a science experiment.
PS: I’m in high school so no expensive equipment! Thanks.
The juices I am testing are fresh – Like squeezing an orange. There is no bottle I can check from.

This is purely out of curiosity, because I’m in medical school and we haven’t extensively covered diabetes yet.
A girl that was at a party I was at was diabetic (not sure which type, but she takes insulin shots) and drinking excessive amounts of beer. She was also smoking weed. She started feeling sick and acting really strange and screaming a lot and throwing up. We tried to test her blood sugar, but she was apparently out of strips so we couldn’t do it. We ended up calling rescue and they took her to the hospital.
Does this sound like hypoglycemia? Best answer goes to the most informative.

I’m a pretty skinny guy. 5’5, 130 pounds. I always have been. I’ve never really been able to gain any fat or muscle mass even though I could down Red Robin burgers and new york strip steaks like no other. I dont really take any supplements except for my daily vitamins. I drink tons of water and OJ. Im not even diabetic….haha. It’s crazy. I wanna attempt to gain some muscle mass. I’m so pro when it comes to rings in gymnastics, and pull ups and stuff. I also got the faux abs goin on…ya know? the ones that you naturally have but never intend to get any…? Haha. (I got like 17 pull ups for my high school testing). Im eighteen btw. Haha. But I never really digged the whole gym workout scene. Any way I can do push ups or simple exercises that overtime will benefit me? Or take some protein shake things? Haha, I’m new to all this so bare with me dooodes. Haha. Thanks.

I am a type 1 diabetic who lives in a country that doesn’t require a prescription for insulin or syringes or test strips. Soon i will be going to Virginia for college and i was wondering wondering what can i buy from over the counter in pharmaceutical stores? I use apidra and lantus and i know you are required to have a prescription for those.Can i use the prescription for a certain period for example use the prescription for a period of 3 months or do i have to go visit a clinic every month to receive a new prescription?

We wish to bring him home from hospital so that he may be comfortable at home with paliative care, currently we are being told that he needs to go to an end of life hospice where they can monitor and treat the low sodium. We wish to have him at home, only visiting hospitals when treatment is needed for the hyponatremia rather than have him permenantly reside in an end of life hospice. Is there anything commerically available that we can get to test his blood sodium levels? I know that treatment is dangerous due to complications of administering sodium sailine too quickly, etc so do not wish to treat this at home per sè. Surely there are something like the blood glucose tester strips that a diabetic requires?
We are living in Spain if this helps.
