I’m sure my hamster as diabetes. She drinks excesivley, is loosing weight despite the fact her appetite has increased, is less active than normal and her eye sight does not seem to be as good as it use to be. However I used the Keto-Diastix reagent strips using her urine and both the Keytones and Glucose are Negative. Does this mean her body isn’t producing any sugar? So should i feed her a sugar diet? Any suggestions on what type of diet to feed her? Thank you!

I have ketone test strips and when I took one this morning it put me in the large level. I have been on a fast for about three days now and would like to continue, however I am concerned about how high the level is. Is it dangerous for a person who is not diabetic to have a very high level of ketones in their blood?

After creating a survey and asked Type 1 Diabetics to fill out about what sort of problems they encounter everyday while managing their diabetes. I surprisingly got over 400 responses in the past 10 months. Did you know that 43% of Type 1 Diabetics are still using the Insulin Pen and do not want to use an Insulin Pump because of the constant attachments and the fact that it is a continuous reminder of their condition? The top 3 problems that Type 1 Diabetics encounter and want to see a solution too are: 1 – They feel like they have too much to carry around everywhere. 2 – Counting Carbohydrates is complex and takes too long. 3 – Disposing of used needles and strips isnt available when you are away from home. The design of the Multii combines the Blood Glucose Monitor, an Insulin Pen and a portable Sharps Container into a compact device. It has a number of features that include storage compartments for 6 new penfill needles, it has a lazer lancet, has a compartment that hold a stack of 50 test strips that gets automatically ejected, a touch screen for an easier interface, an insulin pen that has a vaccum wall like the thermos technology which is used to control the temperature of the insulin keeping it cool at different temperatures and finally It has a barcode scanner where the user gets to scan a barcode from a packaged food item and the device connects to the internet through a nearby Bluetooth device or computer to download nutritional information about the specific

Must use at least 7 of the following words/phrases, and please post what kind of music it would be set to! (:

holler
diabetic test strips
y’all
alellujah
Chlorox bleach wipes

dualling pianos
roller skates
lemur
wallet-sized tears
leather jacket

brass band
Just for clarification, it’d be nice to see actual lyrics (: And love doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with it – just part of how my mind works, I guess…

My nephew just recently got diagnosed with diabetes and My sister is new to working with it(his mom). He had just turned three the other day and she is having problems with getting his testing strips. I’m not sure if you understand how diabetes works but you have to test yourself about 10 times a day. Well she can barely get strips in the first place because of insurance, but when she does get them, she only receives about 200. Well 200 strips will only last her about 20 days if she tests him 10 times a day. I am wondering if anybody can help me by telling me a way to get free diabetic testing strips. Please can you help. its urgent.
